Education activities in the Vancouver Chapter consist of keeping members informed of educational opportunities in records management and in turn, providing assistance and advice to educational organizations who operate and plan to operate educational programs in records management. Our monthly events provide education to RIM professionals on various topics.

CRM Offerings
The Education Program also provides information to members wishing to pursue the CRM designation. A CRM study group will be sponsored for the next exam cycle. Study group consists of coaching resource sharing, and discussion.

Regional Course Offerings
The Chapter is presently supporting the night courses in records management held at the downtown campus of Vancouver Community College, as well as the continuing education courses offered by the Vancouver School Board.
Vancouver Community College - City Centre Campus
There are three courses on records management topics which form part of the Certificate in Office Administration with Records Management specialization at Vancouver Community College:
- Records Management 1 – Introduction to Records Management, September
- Records Management 2 – Advanced Topics in Records Management, January
- Records Management 3 – Specialized Functions in Records Management, April
The introductory course operates in the fall semester, Level 2 in the winter session and Level 3 is offered in the spring. While many students take only the records management courses, other dedicated people complete all the courses required to their Office Administration Certificate with a specialization in Records Management from the College.
Levels 1, 2 and 3 taught by Andrew Geider and various members of the ARMA Vancouver Chapter providing guest lectures and tours.
Classes take place at City Centre Campus, 250 West Pender Street, Vancouver, BC.
